Article 2 – Data collected through the Website
The data collected and subsequently processed by the Website are those you voluntarily provide by completing its various forms. For certain transactions relating to content, you may be asked to provide personal data directly to third-party partners through their own services, particularly when making payments. We do not receive those data; their collection and processing are governed by the terms of the relevant third parties. We encourage you to consult those terms before submitting personal information.

Users have rights of access, withdrawal, amendment and correction in respect of the data they provide. They may exercise these rights through our contact form.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact Portugal.fr through our contact form.
You will not normally be charged for access to your personal data or for exercising other rights. However, a reasonable fee may be charged where a request is manifestly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. In such cases, we may also refuse to comply with the request.
The Publisher reserves the right to reject requests that are manifestly abusive by reason of their systematic or repetitive nature or their number.
We may ask you for specific information to confirm your identity and ensure that personal data are not disclosed to someone who is not authorised to receive them. We may also request further details to help us respond more quickly.
We aim to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. This period may be extended if a request is particularly complex or if you have made several requests. In that case, we will inform you and keep you updated.

Article 12 – Cookie policy
When you first visit the Website, where necessary, a banner at the bottom of your screen informs you that information about your browsing may be stored in alphanumeric files known as “cookies”. This cookie policy explains the measures implemented in relation to browsing the Website, the cookies used, their purposes and how to manage them.
a) General information about cookies on the Website
The Publisher may place cookies on your device (computer, tablet, mobile phone or similar equipment) to support smooth and effective browsing.
Cookies are small text files that can enable the Website to recognise your device and personalise the services offered to you.
According to this policy, information collected using cookies does not identify you by name. It is used for the Website’s own purposes, including improving interactivity and performance and displaying content relevant to your interests. The policy states that such information is not disclosed to third parties unless the Publisher has obtained your prior consent or disclosure is required by law, a court order or a competent administrative or judicial authority.
b) Managing your cookie preferences
You can accept or refuse cookies at any time.
When necessary, a banner appears at the bottom of the screen on your first visit, giving brief information about cookies and similar technologies. The original policy states that continuing to browse the Website (for example, by opening another page or clicking an element) signifies acceptance of cookies being placed on your device.
Depending on the type of cookie, prior consent to its storage and retrieval may be mandatory.
c) Cookies exempt from consent
Under recommendations from the French data protection authority (CNIL), certain cookies are exempt from prior consent where they are strictly necessary for operation of the Website or are used solely to enable or facilitate electronic communications. These include, in particular, session identification, authentication, load-balancing session and interface customisation cookies. Such cookies remain subject to this policy insofar as they are issued and managed by the Publisher.
d) Cookies requiring prior consent
This requirement concerns certain third-party cookies described in the source as “persistent”, because they remain on your device until deleted or until they expire.
As these cookies are issued by third parties, their use and storage are subject to the respective providers’ privacy policies. This category includes audience measurement, advertising and social media sharing cookies (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn and others). The original policy states that the Publisher does not use advertising cookies, although it subsequently lists advertising services. Social media sharing cookies are issued and managed by the relevant social network; subject to consent, they allow you to share Website content through social sharing buttons.
Audience measurement cookies generate statistics about visits to and use of different parts of the Website, such as the pages consulted. These data can help improve usability. The Website states that it uses Google Analytics. Its privacy information is available at: https://www.google.com/analytics/learn/privacy.html.
e) Cookie management tools
Most Internet browsers are configured to allow cookies by default. You can change these settings to reject all cookies or to accept or reject only certain cookies depending on their origin.
Please note: refusing cookies may affect your experience and prevent access to some Website services or functions. The original policy states that the Publisher accepts no liability for deterioration in browsing conditions resulting from your decision to reject, delete or block cookies necessary for the Website’s operation, and that this will not entitle you to compensation.
Your browser may also let you delete existing cookies or receive a notification when new cookies are about to be stored. These settings do not prevent browsing but may remove the benefits offered by cookies.
The following resources explain how to manage cookies on your device.
f) Browser settings
